Youth leaders severely whipped a woman named Obot Udo Ekpo after she was suspected of stealing three bunches of plantains from Okon Eket community in Akwa Ibom State.

It was learned that on Monday, October 16, 2023, early in the morning, the suspect was apprehended.

She reportedly intended to sell the pilfered plantain bunches at today’s well-attended Urua Udo Inyang weekly market, but her luck ran out.
